Laboratory Standards, Accreditation & Quality Control

All our staff, from lab technicians to support teams, are highly trained and committed to delivering timely, reliable results. Meridian Valley Lab is CLIA Certified and participates in external proficiency testing through both the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB).

Analytical Excellence

Exceeding Industry Standards in QC/QA

We go beyond external reviews. Our internal Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program exceeds industry standards—ensuring that every report we deliver upholds the trust of both providers and patients.

CLIA • CAP • AAB

Federal Accreditation & Proficiency Testing

Meridian Valley Lab maintains federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification and continuously validates assay accuracy through proficiency testing programs administered by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB).

Dual-Control ELISA Protocol

Batch Controls + Individual Patient Controls

Unlike most labs, which only run a control with each batch of patient samples, Meridian Valley Lab runs both high and low batch controls AND individual patient controls for each specimen. In addition, MVL reference ranges are validated for each individual food and inhalant antigen.

Mass Spectrometry & Viscometry

24-Hour Urinary Steroid & Hemodynamic Precision

Having pioneered commercial urine hormone testing more than four decades ago, our laboratory utilizes advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric methodologies to quantify up to 35+ parent hormones, phase I/II metabolites, and enzymatic ratios across a full 24-hour cycle.

Specimen Integrity & Stability

Validated Specimen Stability Standards

Close attention to specimen collection, preservation, and transit stability ensures accurate analytical recovery upon arrival at our Tukwila, WA reference laboratory.
